Love Doves are bred in Gippsland Victoria .
They are handled from birth and are trained to fly home to their Loft once released.

Training is quite intensive to ensure they are fit and able to return home Safely.

Doves fly out nearly everyday to maintain their fitness.

The favourite loft treat for the Doves is a water bath that the doves love to splash around in.

What do Doves represent at a funeral

Releasing white doves at a funeral can be done by hand or from a beautiful enclosure.

The releasing of the Doves assists with the grieving process when you release your white Dove up into the sky.

It is very synbolic of " letting go " of your loved ones spirit.

What Happens to the Doves when they are released

Love Doves are a Type of pigeon and have an incredible "homing ability".
The doves undergo intense training to ensure they are both " Homed " and FIT.

When the Doves are released they will circle in the sky getting their bearings before they fly home back to their Loft.

what to expect at a dove release

Whatever the occassion, Love Doves will be presented in a beaufiful enclosure

based on the number of doves to be released .

They will be washed and fit for the distance they need to fly.

A handler remains with the doves the entire time and will assist you to hold the birds correctly or assist with an enclosure release.

They must hover be released in daylight hours and outside .
